Thank you Dr. Kneisl!

July 1 is World Doctor’s Day, a day reserved for celebrating medical, dental and pharmaceutical doctors worldwide. In celebration of World Doctor’s Day, 24 Foundation would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Kneisl at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute for his ardent support since day one. An eight-year 24 Foundation participant, Dr. Kneisl rides for the Levine Cancer Institute Team and serves on the board of directors.

Dr. Kneisl serves as the Medical Director of Surgical Services at the Institute. He actively coordinates the integration of 12 cancer care locations within the system, and is the surgeon liaison for cancer-related administrative policy. In addition, he is Director of Musculoskeletal Oncology in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Carolinas Medical Center.

Recently, 24 Foundation, Inc. made a $1 million commitment to the Institute.Funds will support programs and services at the Institute’s Genetics, Survivorship and Wellness Centers. Highlights of the program include: numerous site-specific patient support groups, the Carolinas Cancer Wellness Program (at area YMCAs) powered by 24 Foundation, vast educational resources, free individual and family counseling and a comprehensive patient navigation program.
