  • Spencer Lueders, Founder

    As Founder of 24 Foundation, Spencer has dedicated more than two decades to changing the conversation about cancer. Through speaking engagements, volunteering, mentoring, and consulting, Spencer continues to impact Charlotte and the cancer community in a positive and meaningful way. You may even still find him riding his bike on the Booty Loop! Outside of his work with 24 Foundation, Spencer is the owner of State Building Services, a Charlotte-based commercial real estate services company, and he practices Intellectual Property Law with a regional law firm.

  • Bob Woods, Chair

    Bob has over 17 years of experience in banking. Since graduating from Queens University McColl School of Business, Bob has been involved in various community and nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on the McColl School Board of Advisors. He is a member of the Morrison Executive Y board. Within the YMCA metro organization, he has been active on various committees assisting the Y organization in serving the community. Bob is married with two children and lives in Charlotte, NC. Outside of church, work and community efforts, he enjoys swimming, cycling, and running as well as spending time with his family outdoors.

  • Joe Vogelbacher, Vice Chair

    Joe Vogelbacher is the President and Co-Founder of Sugar Creek Brewing Company in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a Commander in the Navy Reserves having served more than 20 years in locations all over the world. In 2019, Joe was named the 19th person in the world to pass the infamous Master Cicerone®. His educational and professional journey in the world of beer was prominently featured in the full-length documentary "Beers of Joy." In 2017, Joe lost his sister Michelle to cancer and dedicates an annual 24,000-meter row-a-thon to her memory. This event has become one of the largest of its kind in America.

  • Chad Frk, Treasurer

    Chad serves as a Director for Kingfisher Capital. He is a primary point of contact for prospective clients and works closely with existing relationships to deliver a comprehensive wealth management approach and integrated family office services to achieve their unique security, lifestyle and legacy goals. Previously, he held a similar role at JP Morgan and worked in institutional brokerage at Northern Trust Securities. Chad earned a B.S. in Marketing from the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was the captain of their varsity baseball team while earning All-Big Ten honors. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Charlotte, an organization whose purpose is to develop and enhance volunteer community leadership and he currently serves on their Alumni Service Committee. Chad, a cancer survivor himself, hopes to help individuals from his experiences almost 10 years ago. Chad resides in Charlotte with his wife, a former nurse navigator, and son.

  • Chasse Bailey-Dorton, M.D., Past Chair

    Dr. Bailey-Dorton is medical director for Cancer Survivorship & Integrative Oncology at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute. She is a 12-year cancer survivor, climbed Kilimanjaro with the inaugural LIVESTRONG Survivor Summit in 2012 and has biked from South Carolina to Texas as part of Palmetto Peloton Project’s Challenge to Conquer Cancer. A graduate of Appalachian State University, she received a master of science in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a doctor of medicine degree from East Carolina School of Medicine.

  • Blake Brinkley

    Blake is a project manager for Choate Construction. A graduate of Virginia Tech, he lives to uphold the school motto Ut Prosim, That I may serve. He has participated in 24 Hours of Booty every year since moving to Charlotte in 2015. From his first lap in 2015, Blake knew 24 Foundation was a special organization with a special impact on the community. From starting as a simple team member to becoming a team captain, Blake joined the Board of Directors in 2021. Blake is married with two children – one daughter and one English Lab. When not working, he is an avid weekend warrior, frequently participating in local runs, obstacle course races, and triathlons.

  • Derek Cornwall

    Derek Cornwall is a senior health and benefits consultant with Willis Towers Watson. For over 20 years, Derek has advised companies on their HR and benefits strategy, design, financing, employee wellness, and health improvement. Derek earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from High Point University and his MBA/MHA from Pfeiffer University. Derek is married with two children. In his free time, he enjoys endurance sports, including running, biking, swimming, and triathlons, as well as camping, fly fishing and playing the guitar.

  • Wendy Fu

    Wendy Fu is an Associate Director of Strategy at DiD Agency, part of the Lucid Group in the UK. She leads efforts with Fortune 100 pharmaceutical brands in the US and globally to drive near and long-term strategies to uncover opportunities for innovation, help define brand strategy and growth across various audiences including healthcare providers, hospitals, field sales and patients. Previously, she oversaw and led strategic marketing efforts with multiple clinical areas including oncology for Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and held nationally ranked pharmaceutical sales and leadership roles with TAP Pharmaceuticals. Wendy earned her B.A. from the University of Southern California and moved to Charlotte over 15 years ago. Active in various non-profit committees, Wendy currently serves as the Marketing Chair for the 24 Foundation and is the founding member and Marketing Director for Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Charlotte chapter.

  • Johannes Jooste

    Johannes serves as the Global Audit Executive for Honeywell International Inc where he is responsible for the corporate audit function covering business and finance audits globally. Before joining Honeywell, he was a segment CFO for Parsons Corporation, and also worked in various auditing and consulting roles for Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Johan has a B.S. in Accounting, is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Mr. Jooste also serves on the Finance Committee of Blumenthal Performing Arts. Johan resides in Charlotte with his wife, Nemesia, and 3 children.

  • Garrett Lucas

    Garrett has 20+ years of marketing and media experience, currently serving as the National Marketing Sales Manager for Blended Ideas Group, an Out-Of-Home advertising agency. A 24 Hours of Booty participant and fundraiser since 2012, he joined the marketing committee in 2017 and has been using his career skillsets to help spread the 24 Foundation gospel ever since. A transplant from Ohio, but still loyal to the ever-disappointing Cleveland sports franchises, Garrett spent his teen years growing up in Charlotte before attending N.C. State University in Raleigh, NC. Go Pack! Garrett lives in Charlotte close to the Booty Loop with his wife, Stephanie, their two kids, Wright and Holden, their human-sized Mastiff, Tank, and their shrunken-sized Boston Terrier, Blanche. He spends his spare time with his family outdoors, most times on a mountain bike saddle, often following his kids on one of the many trails around Charlotte.

  • Patrick Meadors

    Patrick Meadors, PhD is the Director of Psycho-Oncology at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute. He obtained his undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and is avid Tarheel despite receiving his Ph.D. in Medical Family Therapy from East Carolina University. Dr. Meadors has been in healthcare for 20+ years and within administration for over 10 years with a focus in behavioral health and oncology settings. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2008, held appointments within the area American Cancer Society (ACS) Leadership Council, NCAMFT Board of Directors, and past President of the Marion County, FL ACS Operating Unit. Dr. Meadors is well published and presented nationally and internationally on topics of compassion fatigue and burnout with healthcare providers, screening and early symptom identification in oncology, and other areas within supportive oncology. Dr. Meadors first participated in 24 Hours of Booty in 2013 and hit the 100 mile benchmark in 2022 event. He loves to play golf, soccer, basketball, and endurance sports. Dr. Meadors is married with 2 children and has lived in Charlotte, NC for 12 years. On the weekends, you will often find him on the sidelines at a basketball or soccer game cheering for his two incredibly energetic children.

  • Daniel Cottingham

    Daniel is a Charlotte native and UNC graduate and has spent his entire career in the real estate industry with Cottingham Chalk. He enjoys spending time outside with his family, especially exploring on two wheels, and sneaking away to the mountains or the beach for a long weekend. Daniel seeks out opportunities to try new things and teach others along the way, and he loves Curious George.
