24 Foundation is coming to your neighborhood Friday, July 26 – Saturday, July 27, 2024 for our 23rd annual 24 Hours of Booty fundraiser to change the course of cancer!
On behalf of our beneficiaries, sponsors, participants, and volunteers, we want to sincerely thank you for opening up your neighborhood again this year. We consider ourselves very fortunate to partner with the Myers Park Neighborhood and can’t wait to ride and walk through your beautiful community! We commit to being good stewards of the neighborhood and hope you will consider joining us this year by riding, walking, volunteering, or cheering on the cancer advocates as they pass by your home.
During the Event
Beginning Friday, July 26 at 5:30 pm, the northbound lanes on Queens Road West at Wellesley will close to place the start/finish line. The remainder of the northbound lanes will close at 6:45 pm. One lane on Queens Road West Northbound will reopen Saturday morning at 6:30 am. CMPD will be monitoring intersections around the course and helping traffic flow safely the entire 24 hours of the event. 24 Foundation will send out an event guide and resident vehicle pass to homeowners in the weeks leading up to the event. Please hang the resident vehicle pass from your vehicle’s mirror or display it in your dashboard during the event so officers can help get you in and out of the neighborhood during the event. You are welcome to print more resident passes for family and friends who may be visiting during the event. A link will be posted here when the passes are available. Please note that due to permitting and safety protocols, access to the course is restricted solely to registered participants. If you or your family and friends would like to ride your bicycle in the event, you must register.

Entering and Exiting Your Neighborhood
24 Foundation works closely with the Myers Park Neighborhood and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department to make sure you are able to come and go freely. Police will be located at each intersection for the entirety of the event and will be able to assist you in getting to and from your house. If you have questions during the event or need assistance navigating in or out of your neighborhood, please call 24 Foundation Monday, July 22 – Saturday, July 27 at 877-365-4417.
In the case of an emergency, please call 911 as emergency vehicles take precedence over the event.
The event will operate on the 911 emergency protocols for emergency needs. All residents and participants should utilize this system. All emergency traffic will be controlled by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
Residents should utilize the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department-controlled entry and exit points. All roads remain open. However, travel may only be open in one direction. For your convenience, please download our residential map.
