24 Hours of Booty 2022 Raises More Than $1.3 Million
On July 29-30th 2022 more than 800 participants joined together for 24 Hours of Booty presented by Levine Cancer Institute, with many excited to return to the “Booty Loop”. When not riding or walking, participants hung out in “Bootyville” (a.k.a. Queens University of Charlotte soccer field) for camping, food and fun. The annual survivor lap started things off, the midnight pizza party kept everyone fueled through the evening, and the golden hour gave way to a final triumphant and rainy lap. 24 Foundation celebrated the 21st year of the event with more than $1.3 million raised to help support cancer survivorship and patient navigation programs. “Thanks to everyone who joined us for our twenty-one-year legacy and celebration of hope, healing and connecting to change the course of cancer,” said Katy Ryan, executive director of 24 Foundation. “Hats off to our 24 Hours of Booty champions who went above and beyond to impact our cancer community and raise significant funds for cancer survivorship and navigation programs.” Numerous sponsors, donors, volunteers, riders and walkers have helped raise more than $26 million since 24 Hours of Booty started in 2002. Show up for those with cancer
24 Hours of Booty isn’t a race or an endurance event. Riders and Walkers can set their own mileage goals and get on and off the police secured course as much as they would like throughout the 24 hours. Set up a tent in Bootyville to relax in between your trips around the beautiful Myers Park Booty Loop and enjoy catered meals, snacks, and drinks in our food tent, including a midnight pizza party. We are one team with one goal, and that is having an immediate impact on the lives of those affected by cancer. Over the past 20 years, your passion for the cancer community has raise more than $25 million dollars for patient navigation and wellness programs provided through Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children’s Hospital, and our other Beneficiaries. These programs include integrative oncology, acupuncture, healing touch, massage therapy, nurse navigators and much more.
