So you want to be a 24 Foundation team captain?!
That’s great news. We’re here to get you started and support you along the way. Get ready Captain America– you’ve got some new competition on the block.
Events are always more fun with friends and family, right? Right! We want to help you form the most fun and enjoyable experience possible while riding to fight cancer, and it starts with your team!
Step One: Decide to take a stand against cancer.
You’ve seen how ugly and devastating cancer can be, and you want to do something. You want to fight back, do some good, have some fun and find an awesome local community to be a part of. Ta-da! 24 Foundation is here and we want YOU!
Step Two: Register your team!
Now that you’ve decided to take a stand in the fight against cancer, it’s time to register your team and designate yourself as a team captain.
- – Visit our registration page to sign up
- – Choose the city you want to ride in
- – Select the “Create a Team” Button
- – Tell us who you are – Name your Team!
- – Input your personal and billing information
- – Personalize your team fundraising page
- – Share your Team Fundraising Page on social media and start recruiting!
Step Three: Brainstorm potential teammates
Start by listing five to ten social circles you are a part of. Anything goes, whether it’s family, work, riding friends or neighbors.
Step Four: Recruit your team!
Now that you have your list of social circles, it’s time to reach out! Start by emailing each of them to invite them to join you at 24 Foundation. Share your personal reasons for riding, what you hope to accomplish and why you want them to join you! We also provide email templates in your participant center to use to recruit your team!

Step Five: Keep recruiting!
24 Foundation has a number of resources to help you recruit your team. We have posters and hand cards that you can customize for your team. Hang posters in your office, school, bike shop or neighborhood! Hand cards are easy to give out anywhere you go!
We also have regular 24 Foundation general information happy hours and online information sessions that occur throughout the season. Keep an eye on your email to share with potential teammates!
24 Foundation will also come to you! Whether it’s your office, school or bike club, we are happy to present about 24 Foundation and what you can expect leading up to and at the event. We are happy to answer questions and help teammates register — that’s what we’re here for!
Step Six: Rock it out!
Now that you have your team, continue to grow, fundraise and train together so you can come rock it out on event weekend. We can’t wait to see you there!
