After ten years at the NCAA, I am only six days into my tenure as Executive Director at 24 Foundation. I have been amazed to learn more about this community, the riders and the stories. I have never felt more surrounded by cancer, but I have never felt more empowered to do something about it.

Yesterday morning on July 21, 2015, the 24 Foundation Charlotte community crossed the $1 million mark. This is a true testament about a group of people who feel empowered to join together to do something in the fight against cancer.

Coach Jim Valvano once said, “There are 86,400 seconds in a day. It’s up to you to decide what to do with them.” There are approximately 302,400 seconds between now and the start of 24 Foundation Charlotte. What are you going to do with that time?

Help us make history by reaching a record-breaking $1.6 million by 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 24. There are people in the trenches fightingright now at Levine Cancer Institute and they need our help. Let’s fight now for those who can’t.

I challenge you to send one more fundraising email. Make one more phone call. Put one more post on social media and knock on one more door. Let’s motivate and empower each other to keep this fight going.

Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up.

Peter Davis
Executive Director
