Peter Davis24 Foundation – the premier organization for integrating community cancer fundraising and cycling – has announced the selection of Peter R. Davis as its new executive director.

“We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” said Peter Levinson, board chair for 24 Foundation. “Peter’s [Davis] background and business acumen will bring the leadership and creativity needed as we strive to extend our support of cancer survivorship and navigation programs. His strategic mindset and experience with non-profit and for-profit entities will serve our events, fundraising and growth initiatives extraordinarily well.”

During his career, Davis served in marketing and branding leadership roles at Bank of America and at a brand management and strategy consultancy focused on Fortune 50 companies. He later worked in brand, licensing and sponsorship leadership positions at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for ten years before joining the nation’s leading sports promotional licensing agency as their senior director of sports alliances in 2012. Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University.

“I have had the opportunity to experience 24 Foundation in Charlotte as a fan for the last three years, but having the privilege to now turn my attention to serve the cycling events and fundraising that positively impacts so many people is incredible,” said Davis. “I am tremendously impressed with the commitment and flexibility that the board of directors has shown in their vision. It is exciting to join a great staff that demonstrates optimism and effectiveness and to continue furthering the organization’s mission through strategic initiatives and partnerships.”
