AricAlmirola1On May 26, NASCAR driver Aric Almirola came by Bicycle Sport to show his support for 24 Foundation and go on a preview ride of the 3-mile Booty Loop. Aric has always been a big fan of cycling, as he bikes frequently during his time off to stay in shape for race season. Although he cannot make the 15th Annual 24 Foundation in July due to the Brickyard 400, Aric has put together a group of pit crew members and other staff from Richard Petty Motorsports who will be riding the Myers Park Booty Loop July 29-30 to help fight cancer.

The preview ride was a great way for Aric and his team to learn what 24 Foundation is all about. They were able to experience the course first-hand, accompanied by Spencer Lueders, the founder of 24 Foundation.

“I really believe in what Spencer has built here, and he’s gotten so many people to rally behind him – I’m just one of the many,” said Aric Almirola, NASCAR driver for Richard Petty Motorsports. “

Following the preview ride, the group met back up at Bicycle Sport to have lunch and chat about 24 Foundation. It was a wonderful opportunity for the crew members of Richard Petty Motorsports to get a sample of this charity cycling event and the great people who make it so successful every year.
