Bicycle Sport Bicycle Sport has signed on as the official bike shop of the original 24 Foundation event along Myers Park’s Booty Loop. Bicycle Sport is locally-owned and operated full-service bicycle shop in the center of Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood, Bicycle Sport is home to the best bicycle brands, the most knowledgeable staff, a repair shop that’s hands-down the best around. A perennial fave in Endurance Magazine’s “Best Of” awards; at Bicycle Sport, it’s not just about the bike, it’s about the experience.

“We’ve always supported the riders and volunteers that make 24 Foundation so special,” said Ben Cooley, owner of Bicycle Sport. “It just makes sense to partner with the event that’s such a big part of the cycling community, our neighborhood, and beyond.”

As part of the partnership, Bicycle Sport pledged 2.4% of profits – up to $10,000 – from all new bike sales toward 24 Foundation’s overall fundraising goals. Bicycle Sport will also provide round-the-clock service, repairs and on-the-scene maintenance during the Charlotte event, July 29th and 30th. Leading up to event weekend, the shop will host in-store meet-ups, a series of casual rides, and offer 24 Foundation registrations and merchandise in store.

Bicycle Sport has sponsored many 24 Foundation teams and riders over the event’s history, and has tuned, prepped or repaired any number of bikes that have limped off the Loop into their Myers Park shop.

“For fifteen years Bicycle Sport has been tied to 24 Foundation and our fight against cancer,” said Peter Davis, executive director of 24 Foundation. “We are thrilled that we can now work together to take care of our dedicated riders and the cancer fighting community. With their world-class 24-hour bicycle maintenance on site at the event, all of our riders will have their bikes in top-shelf condition to hit their cycling goals!”
