To my 24 Foundation family –

JanetWhen I started working at 24 Foundation almost six years ago, I knew I was committing to a strong organization with a fierce reputation for fighting cancer. What I didn’t realize at the time was the depth of community and passion that makes 24 Foundation such a special place.

I feel so privileged to be part of this community and to have worked alongside each one of you. It is bittersweet that I share that the Charlotte event was my last event as part of the staff of 24 Foundation. I plan to begin consulting and freelance work, while gaining a lot more hours at home with my little boy.

I’m so grateful for the friendships I made and the stories you entrusted me with. I’m continually amazed at the strength of survivors, caregivers, friends and family and I feel so lucky to have played a small part in your stories.

Many of you have asked if leaving is bittersweet and while I’m definitely sad, I’m mostly excited. I think the potential of this event and community is limitless and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. So far this year, we’ve raised more than $1.35 million – and we aren’t finished yet.

The best part? I’m leaving the staff of 24 Foundation, but I’m not leaving the Booty family. I can’t wait to ride and volunteer alongside all of you next year.

See you on the Booty Loop!

Janet
