Pink to Drink Check 2016 Take that, cancer! Charlotte’s largest cancer-fighting block party – “Pink to Drink” – presented a check for nearly $28,000 to 24 Foundation.

The Third Annual “Pink to Drink” took place simultaneously at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Sugar Creek Brewing Company and Great Wagon Road Distillery, for a one-of-a-kind good time and a great cause. More than 500 cancer-hating, fun-seekers came out to support this year’s event, along with sponsors: Roots Catering, Jones & Hedges Custom Builders, The Dunstan Group, Pace Development Group, well-run media + marketing, Weekly Rides, and friends.

“We are all very passionate about putting an end to this cancer madness and to supporting the amazing work 24 Foundation is doing for cancer navigation and survivorship programs right here in our region,” said Scott Dunstan, captain of the Spokes N’ Mirrors team that’s riding and fundraising for 24 Foundation.

Team Spokes N’ Mirrors, Team AmWINS, Team Reeb, and Team LIBSTRONG/Drew’s Crew have grown “Pink to Drink” from a series of house parties over a decade ago, to a one-of-a-kind event that’s looped in some of Charlotte’s favorite South End breweries, best-loved catering companies, and sought-after sponsors. It is one of 24 Foundation’s largest grassroots events of the year. Since 2014, “Pink to Drink” participants, sponsors and friends have raised tens of thousands of dollars to fight cancer, advance research, and celebrate survivorship.

“You are the reason we were able to raise almost $28,000 for 24 Foundation, and you are the reason we added 100 guests to the event this year,” added David Faulkner from Team Reeb. “Thank you guys so much!”

Added Mallory Walsh, executive director of 24 Foundation, “Huge thanks to these four amazing teams and the sponsors and supporters of ‘Pink to Drink.’ Everyone involved is a rock star in the fight against cancer. We greatly appreciate this generous donation that will further our mission of supporting cancer survivorship and patient navigation programs.”

Join 24 Foundation’s cancer-fighting community by registering to ride July 29-30th or donate to our fundraising efforts in support of patient navigation and survivorship programs.
