On Thursday, May 28, four 24 Foundation cycling teams are coming together to raise funds to  fight cancer. For the second consecutive year, the Pink to Drink fundraiser will be held at Sugar Creek Brewing Company and The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, simultaneously from 6:00-9:00PM. Ticket are $25 dollars and include entry to the breweries, live music, appetizers and a fresh beer. There will also be about 30 items to bid on that night at the silent auction.

Each year, individuals are responsible for reaching fundraising minimums to ride in 24 Foundation. Some teams band together to reach their fundraising goals and routinely hold large-scale fundraisers to make these self-set minimums. This year, these four top fundraising teams are joining forces to throw the largest fundraiser 24 Foundation has seen to date.

So how does a large event like this evolve? Three out of four of these team captains got together at the Charlotte Kick Off event and started talking about how they had all held some kind of a fundraising event in the past to help reach their individual goals. They also recognized that their teams are always head to head on the fundraising leaderboard.  So they began to think outside of the box.

“If we could just bring all four of our teams together, we could really pull off the biggest party 24 Foundation has seen,” said Katie Lee, captain of team AmWINS. “It was at that point that we just said we wanted to go BIG.”

The other three teams participating are team Spokes Mirrors, Team Libstrong/Drew’s Crew and Team Reeb. Individually as teams they have all historically each held fundraisers raising $10,000+. event has the ppotential to be one of the most profitable fundraisers that our teams have ever hosted. Pink to Drink is a new, innovative way these four teams are kick starting their fundraising.
