Join us in welcoming Katherine Murphy as our new executive director.

“We are thrilled to have Katherine [Murphy] at the helm of 24 Foundation,” said Bob Woods, chair of the 24 Foundation board of directors. “She has been an integral part of this organization and brings tremendous fundraising experience and community relationships that will be instrumental in furthering our growth and mission.”

With 24 Foundation since 2020, Murphy previously served as vice president and as director of community partnerships overseeing fund development and securing sponsors and community partners. Before joining 24 Foundation, she served as a senior development officer for Atrium Health Foundation, with much of her focus on fund development for Levine Cancer Institute. She was also director of special events for the Charlotte Knights. Murphy graduated from Meredith College with a bachelor of arts in communication.

“Leading 24 Foundation is an honor and a longtime dream of mine,” said Murphy, executive director of 24 Foundation. “I am very passionate about supporting our cancer community and making a lasting impact on those affected by cancer. I look forward to continuing our work with our amazing staff and community of supporters, sponsors, participants, cancer survivors and caregivers, donors and volunteers. Together, we are going to help change the course of cancer.”
